I do lifecycle events because it really is my joyful service. I love having the opportunity to connect people with Jewish tradition at moments of transition and change.
But although I love the work, I can't do it for free. My fee scale appears below. If these costs are truly prohibitive to you and you'd like to work with me, get in touch with me and we can talk about it. But please consider what you might pay a florist, a caterer, a photographer for their time and bear in mind that what I hope to bring to your lifecycle event is not only a well-crafted script for your ritual but the intention of helping everyone there feel connected with you and with what they're there to witness and participate in.
These fees cover the many hours of crafting a custom ceremony, meeting with you before the event, making myself available to you for questions and concerns from the date you hire me until the date of the event, and then getting to and leading your ritual in a way which is truly transformative and which brings your ceremony to life.
All my fees are based on being in the Boston area. If you area outside the Boston area there will be additional cost for travel time. I have done several destination weddings and of course this involves providing travel, accommodations and fees for the additional time involved. Wherever you choose to have your lifecycle event, I will be delighted to journey with you.
Baby naming : $300- $500
Memorial Service: $500
Unveiling: $300- (if I have done your funeral) $500
Funeral: suggested donation $500 (this may be covered by the fees you've already paid the funeral home; you may wish to check with them about that.)
Bar/bat mitzvah: this one requires a conversation, as I'm assuming that if I'm working with you or your child toward becoming bar or bat mitzvah, it's an ongoing journey of learning together which culminates in the celebratory event.
